Paul Searles - Singer Guitarist I have been professionally performing music in Colorado
since 1991. I have played for audiences in coffee houses, restaurants,
grand openings, weddings, pageants, parties, etc. I have even brought
American rock and roll to the South Pacific in 2001. As a member of a
band called the Rock Doctors, I have opened for BJ Thomas, The Association,
the Grass Roots, Chubby Checker, Highway 101 and others. I also volunteer
my music and have played for detention centers, homes for the disabled,
and for Craig Hospital, Denver, Colorado. I perform a wide variety of music with a special preference for ballads and love songs. I enjoy performing many genres of music, including pop, country-western, rock and roll and a number of hit songs and instrumentals from the 50's and 60's.
One of my life's passions is to sing and make music as a
gift for others. Music allows me to connect with people from around the
world in ways that the spoken word alone cannot do. I believe that music
may also help improve overall health and well being through certain vibrations
of vocal harmonies, and other instruments. I give my music as a living
part of my life that flows from a connection with joy, love a nd passion.
My Perspectives on Music I can perform solo with an acoustic guitar, my own voice and a small PA system. I can also perform with a large PA system using my own backup CD tracks that I created in my home recording studio. I also perform with a Rock and Roll band called the Rock Doctors. Sometimes folks get my CD backup confused with Karaoke or computer sequenced music. My CD is not quite the same. Much of the music that I perform live at various venues has my own CD backup tracks. In my recording studio, I record myself playing the bass guitar, keyboards, drums, steel drums, lead and rhythm guitar, lead and harmony vocals and other various parts (like orchestra strings, a Hammond B3 organ) of a song on a 24-track digital workstation. So, for instance, when the Eagles song "New Kid In Town" requires a lot of vocal backup harmony, I sing all the parts and record the vocal tracks along with all the other instruments in my studio and then mix down to a backup CD. I remove the lead vocal part and a guitar track on the backup CD for my public performances. If a client prefers a "full band sound", I can provide that through my "one man band" CD backup. I sing and play guitar live over the CD so that it sounds much like the how the original song was recorded. So, I hope you enjoy the music that I love to perform whether it is solo
acoustic or with my backup CD band. Paul Searles Contact/Booking information for song list, demo CD, references
